Ergonomics in Focus: The Spin BeFree Impresses in Practical Testing

Clean work begins with a good feeling for body and mind. With the Spin BeFree, Wetrok has developed a cleaning machine that redefines ergonomics – scientifically tested, designed for real-world use, and consistently focused on the wellbeing of cleaning staff. Every movement should feel lighter, every task healthier. A recent ergonomics study by the Institute for Holistic Facility Management (IFGM) demonstrates just how effective this philosophy is in practice – and the results speak for themselves.

When Ergonomics Means Relief

Cleaning work is among the most physically demanding professions. Musculoskeletal disorders are widespread in the industry. This is precisely where Wetrok set out to make a difference: the goal in developing the Spin BeFree was to noticeably ease the daily workload of cleaning professionals. To verify this promise objectively, Wetrok commissioned the Institute for Holistic Facility Management (IFGM) to conduct a comparative ergonomic study. Three battery-powered, hand-guided scrubber-dryers from different manufacturers were tested. The result: the Spin BeFree achieved the best ergonomic rating.

«The Wetrok Spin BeFree is, overall, the most shoulder- and back-friendly solution.»

Scientifically Proven and Ergonomically Engineered

The institute analysed posture, movement angles and strain intensity using state-of-the-art, AI-supported measuring technology. The results are clear:

  • Shoulders: Thanks to the adjustable handle height (150–195 cm) and movable ball grip, the shoulders remain within a relaxed range of motion.

  • Elbows: Alternating grip positions help prevent one-sided strain.

  • Trunk: The automatic forward drive (Self-Drive) relieves the lower back and significantly reduces the required effort.

In comparison, the Spin BeFree achieved 11 out of 15 possible points – the highest rating among all tested machines. According to IFGM, it is the most shoulder- and back-friendly solution in the test field.

The Spin BeFree not only excels in the lab but also in daily cleaning operations:

    • Its crescent-shaped brush unit with low underclearance allows access to narrow areas.

    • Water tanks are designed for easy, ergonomic removal and full manual cleaning.

    • The intuitively illuminated control panel is highly visible and easy to operate, even with gloves.

    • Thanks to smooth handling and precise steering, the machine practically «guides itself».

These features are more than comfort details – they are the result of consistent development focused on operator health.

Designed for people

At Wetrok, ergonomics is not a trend but a responsibility. Ergonomic machines mean less strain, fewer sick days and greater job satisfaction – a conclusion also confirmed by IFGM. A result that proves: whoever operates the Spin BeFree, works lighter, healthier and more efficiently.
